Welcome to Paradise!
And no, it is not in the caribbean.. Praia de Rodas is in the Atlantic coastline of Galicia, North Spain, and according to The Guardian, it is the top 1 best beach of the world.
Cíes Islands, also known as the Islands of the Gods, is an archipelago made up of 3 islands located in the mouth of Ría de Vigo, Pontevedra. Declared a Nature Reserve and National Park (Parque Nacional Marítimo-Terrestre das Illas Atlánticas de Galicia).
With a camping area opened from june until october it is the perfect spot for a weekend getaway or just a day long trip. You can visit the islands on your own boat, renting a yatch or getting a ferry (it is a 40 min trip and you can buy online tickets here).
The natural park offers several hiking routes. From 1 to 3.5 km long, it is highly recommened you try one of these, specially if you want some of the best sunset views from one of the lighthouses.
While hiking you can go through the camping site, find a couple restaurants and discover some hidden gem little beaches. If you are interested in camping, it is suggested you rent a spot in advance (here you can find more info).
